Timro Lagi and Shaan to release on Feb 1

Because of the strike of cine artists the release of ‘Samaya’ was postponed and two other Nepali movies are being released on February 1, 2013. The lead actor of both the movies is actor Suman Singh.Director NR Ghimire’s ‘Timro Lagi’ featured Suman Singh, Kushal Thapa, Sumina Ghimere, Ganesh Upreti, Surbir Pandit and others in main roles. The movie made on a love story is produced by Arun Khadka for Arun Films. ‘Timro Lagi’ was previously scheduled to release next week, but due to the availability of theaters it was released a week prior.Another new release on Friday, ‘Shaan’ is directed by Ramji Lamichane. The movie features Suman Singh, Jharana Thapa, Kushal Thapa and Anuska Shewa in main roles. Director Lamichane had problems with the production team and had asked to remove his name from the director.

Padmini to release on Feb 8

This week Nepali movie ‘Padmini’ is going to be a solo release. The movie features Nisha Adhikari, Sarita Giri and Anil Thapa in main roles.In a report Sarita wasn’t happy that the poster only featured Nisha Adhikari. She also complained that the promotion team didn’t asked her to participate in the promotion of the movie.

In ‘Padimini’ Sarita is featured as a housewife whose husband has gone to a foreign country. The movie, made under the banner Shree Ganesh Films, is directed by Ram Pyasi and is produced by Basanta Kumar Shrestha and Tshiring Dorje Lama.

Antaral launches poster, audio and website

An upcoming movie ‘Antaral’ has launched audio, poster and its official website in a program held in Anamnagar, Kahtmandu.The first movie of Jiwansathi Films is targeted to the youth audience. In the program, the film crew unveiled the audio of the movie, Narendra Maharjan and Rajesh Gongju released the poster and Sagar Parajuli released the website, antaral.comIn the posters the film name is written in six balloons of different colors – a representation of the underlying story. The movie is a story of different colors of life, hence the movie slogan ‘Color of Life’. The film is the story of six different characters and it also has six different songs.

The director Dipa Basnet is debuting in Nepali movie industry in ‘Antaral’. The movie features Kamalmani Nepal, Namrata Sapkota, Rajkumar Pudasainai, Manav Subedi, Ashmima Nakarmi and ex-Miss Nepal Ruby Rana in main roles. The music of the movie is composed by Shashi Bikram Thapa, cinematography of Shivaram Shrestha and written by Abhimanyu Nirbi.

The movie is scheduled to release in the Nepali new year 2070.

Rekha Thapa with US scarf, Nepali flag and the love of nation

After reaching the USA, Rekha Thapa had posted a few photos of hers on Facebook, wearing a scarf with US flag printed on it. Some journalists had criticized Rekha for wearing such a scarf and accused her of embracing US lifestyle. Such an accusations have hurt Rekha’s sentiment and she told us, “I Love my country Nepal for ever.Hurt by the media report, she wore a Nepali flag on her chest. But, to her dismay, nobody noticed the photo and there were no report about Rekha’s love for her nation.
